Frank Blake is an award-winning stunt coordinator, director, writer, and second-unit action designer whose work has earned industry recognition, including a 2025 Astra Creative Arts Awards nomination for Best Stunt Coordinator for Dead Man’s Wire. He has also received multiple festival honors for his directing work, notably winning Best Director for the short film Dual Agency, underscoring the precision, artistry, and storytelling instinct that define his approach to action design.
Based in Nashville and working nationwide, Blake brings more than two decades of hands-on experience across film and television. Raised in a survivalist, off-grid environment, he developed early strengths in problem-solving, self-reliance, and leadership—traits that continue to shape his signature style: cinematic action that feels visceral and dangerous on screen while remaining meticulously safe and controlled behind the camera.
As a stunt coordinator and second-unit director, his credits span studio features, independent films, music videos, and commercials, including Dead Man’s Wire, Desperation Road, Precious Cargo, Officer Downe, Urge, The Vatican Tapes, Panama, 5000 Blankets, Saint Clare, The Threesome, and utility stunts on Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, among others.
Blake is the founder of Idyllic Sky Entertainment and a driving force behind Action Design Services / Stunt Nashville, where he mentors performers and trains actors and stunt professionals in fight choreography, tactical movement, weapons handling, wire work, and on-set professionalism.
