J. William (Bill) Myers, international award-winning artist, muralist, and illustrator creates book covers, portraits, production painting, storyboards, album covers ("Waylon & Willie") and posters for movies and opera. Clients include CBS, RCA, Mercury Records, Franklin Library, Encyclopedia Britannica, Simon & Schuster, and ABC Paramount. His title art introduces the Robert Altman film "Nashville". He taught Storyboard Design at Watkins Film School for a decade. His art hangs in the Law School of Vanderbilt University, The Metro Courthouse and The National Museum of African American Music.
He worked for six years on the series "Nashville", illustrating storyboards, set paintings, and cover art. He did storyboard art for the NBC movie "Living Proof, Hank Williams, Jr." He also created storyboards for the award winning short feature "Christine", the feature "Sting" and "The Last Ride on the Midwest Express". His storyboards include many recording artists: Taylor Swift's first Diet Coke commercial, Kieth Urban's Target commercial, and music videos for Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, and Hank Williams, Jr. His lectures and storyboard art contributed to the launch of PayPal. He partnered with science fiction author JG Nair on the television series "The Burn Riders". His movie poster for Robert Altman's acclaimed film "Nashville" has appeared in many countries, and used more than once as a book jacket and a brochure for the film's premiere.
